the Principal Videographer at Your Wedding Story.
If you want to capture the warmth and joy between family and friends on your wedding day minus the cheesy, lovey dovey, Hollywood style footage that makes you cringe, we'll be a great fit!
I'm a former author and journalist so storytelling is my thing. I've also been rated in Queensland's top three wedding videographers for two years running because I care A LOT about customer service. I put a lot of effort into working out what makes each couple tick, so that your wedding video really reflects you and the things that are important to you. There is no cookie cutter story template. There is no outsourcing to cheap editors. I handcraft each video myself from my Brisbane studio.
When your wedding is over, all you have left is your photos and video. But the video is the thing that will allow you to relive it all, and truly revisit all the feels from the best day of your life.

"We LOVE the video! You have captured the most important day, with the most important people in our lives so perfectly and in such a way that is true to who we are. This is what we have for the rest of our lives - all that is left is these memories and for you to capture that for us - I don’t have the words to thank you.
"Michaela made the whole process and experience easy and enjoyable from start to finish... Her warm, friendly yet professional nature made everybody feel so at ease on the day, as though we had a friend there with us who just happened to be filming. Michaela went above and beyond to ensure we were happy with the finished product, which of course we were. Thanks to Michaela our wedding videos are something we will treasure forever."
Do you only film Brisbane weddings?
Although I am Brisbane-based, my team and I are available throughout South East Queensland. A travel fee applies for weddings more than 90 minutes away - please enquire for details.
Do you offer wedding photography?
No, we are video specialists! But we can team up with our fave photographers and make the process really cruisy for you. Find out more on our photography page >>
Do you offer raw footage?
We don't offer the raw files, but we do provide lightly edited extended footage from the whole day which is a wonderful keepsake. More about our videography packages >>
Can I choose the songs?
Most couples get me to choose songs that match the mood of their day and their story. Occasionally couples like input into song choices which is fine too. Just be aware that most popular music isn't available for licensing, so we will be choosing from independent artists, with only a few exceptions.
My fiance is camera shy - is that a problem?
I meet with each couple for a coffee prior to the wedding so that when I turn up on your wedding day you feel more at ease. And it's my job to make you feel relaxed in front of the camera, and in most instances, forget I am even there. So I have plenty of tricks up my sleeve to achieve this! What should I look for in a wedding videographer?
- An important question to ask a prospective wedding videographer is how many camera angles will be used. There is a big difference in the quality of productions where more than one camera angle is used.
- Another thing to look for in a wedding videographer is not only their camera skills, but their ability to put together a compelling story in the edit suite. Storytelling is a different skill to camera work!
- And of course it's vital you hire a videographer you feel comfortable around. A phone call or in-person meeting is highly recommended before you choose your videographer!
- If you are based in Brissie, it's often a good idea to hire a Brisbane wedding videographer, no matter where your wedding is being held. Being local allows us to meet in person before the wedding really easily.
Do you charge a travel fee?
Only for weddings located more than 90 minutes drive from Brisbane. Don't stress if you are at a venue like Gabbinbar Homestead, Spicers Hiddenvale, Maleny Manor or Weddings at Tiffany's as these fall within the 90 minutes and no fee applies.
